The sound output of my TV Tuner card is fed to the "Line in" socket of the integrated sound card on my motherboard (through a small cable).

The system works perfectly with a PVR software called Honestech that was bundled with the TV Tuner card.
I use VLC also to play any audio/video files perfectly.

But with KMP, the only problem is that in TV (WDM) mode, I have to mute the "wave" output in my sound mixer. If I leave it unmuted, it starts giving multiple echoes immediately. The echoes are so strong that the audio becomes totally unintelligible.

Now if I use KMP to play mp3 or video files, it cannot produce any sounds at all. I have to again open the Master Volume Control and unmute the "Wave" output.

To sum up, I need to turn off the Wave output when I watch TV; but again I have to turn it on to play any media files.

What can I do to solve this problem?

TV Tunder card: Prolink PixelView PV M-4500
Sound driver: Realtek HD Audio

I have the same problem with my "Hauppauge WinTV Radio" TV Tuner Card and on-board "C-Media CM6501 Like Sound Device".

That means while looking TV I'm not able to listen to any other media files :(
