Hi,

I just play a 35MB, 40 minutes long SWF file with the latest beta of KMP.

Here is what I get after 40 minutes of watching the video:

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

473MB memory usage!

Even worst, I can reproduce that memory consumption under 30 seconds.

Just open a SWF file, hit play, and seek 20 times to the end of the file, and then to the beginning without stopping the video, and watch the memory go up and up and up.

I did not test it with another file format.

What?

If you're implying that I have a virus, I assure you that it is not the case.

Open a BIG file, 35MB, and then seek to the end and to the beginning a lot of time, and watch the memory usage grow!

I am using Vista btw.

As KMP does not have swf playback module, it might not be the problem of KMP. If the problem persists, do not use KMP for swf playback.

I can confirm this. I just have a smaller swf file, but if I keep seeking through it, the memory usage slowly crawls up.

Hi guys,

Any update on this issue?

"As KMP does not have swf playback module, it might not be the problem of KMP"

I don't understand. KMPlayer can play these swf files fine, except that there is no step frame and all the fancy stuff.

It can play them, but there is a confirmed memory leak.
