KMP seems to be less stable if the KMP Video Transform Filter is disabled. However, enabling it prevents the use of hardware deinterlacing with ATI's Avivo and Nvidia's Purevideo. A solution/improvement would be if the KMP Video Trasform Filter included the "Set interlace flag in output media type" option like ffdshow has for output (formerly called "HW deinterlacing"). This would allow use of the KMP Video Transform Filter along with ATI Avivo and Nvidia Purevideo hardware acceleration, and improve the stability of KMP overall.
