overlay mixer problem/conflict

everytime i try to play a video a window pops up asking me choose one renderer, default wm7 wm9, halis, etc, the windows says: the overlay mixer s being used by other application ....

before i was able to play almost all kind of videos, avi, mpg, mov, divx vid, h264, except for 1080 hd videos,

i must say, i tried reinstalling the video driver and uninstall all media players and killed some process i suspected were producing resource conflicts and nothing, it wont work, i was playing video flawlessly last week, how do i figure out what application or process is using overlay mixer?

Too bad that I dropped in just to check and won't have time right now but try to remember what have you installed between now and the time it worked (last week). If you can, do system restore to that time.

I know only 2 (for now) programs that might cause this. The first is Object dock, the second is actually firefox or any other browser - and you have e.g. YouTube open (and playing or buffering a video).
Next time, if you have this "choose another renderer", play it with e.g. VMR7/9 and post the ctrl+tab info here, so we can maybe analyze the processes.

well i gotta say when i play videos im not using web browsers, at least some updates have made some troubles in my system lately, maybe ill perform some software uninstalling later to see what happen
