View Full Version : How to autoplay DVD movies?
When I insert a dvd disc, windows media player starts the movie but I would like to autostart the movie with KMPlayer... I can't find any option about this in preferences. In the Vista Autoplay preferences there is not a option to use KMPlayer. Is there some way to autoplay dvd movies? Or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

Hi Pantuflo and thanks, but not works. Nothing happs when I set the dvd option in Associations. And when I open the preferences again, the dvd option is blank (not ticked).
Any idea please?

Maybe you have UAC enabled and you are not running KMP with admin rights.
Try with right-click on KMP icon -> Run as administrator or install KMP in a folder with admin rights.
I'm using Vista too and I've no problem.
Solved! You are right Pantuflo. But this is strange for me... Why run KMPlayer as administrator only to autoplay dvd movies?
Thanks again

Why run KMPlayer as administrator only to autoplay dvd movies?
It must be run as administrator to change the Windows Vista Autoplay function (or e.g. to associate files with KMP, or any system related change). Once that changes are made you can run KMP without admin rights.
