Not supported. Most likely will not. Only XP.

after hours of trying it's working now on my win98 pc, i just removed 2 files.
i just don't know what function is missing, but as long as it works somehow its good enough for me.
Kmplayer best player always! :D

dsmsplitter.ax = splitter for DSM files (Media Player Classic DSM Streaming Container)
pprocdll.dll = internal name is Subtitle.dll, but for what subtitle... i'm don't know
BTW
On Guliverkli ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) You can find two versions DSM Splitter - for Win9x and XP (Unicode).
Similarly, other Gabest filters.
Some Gabest filters patched by clsid can find on Guliverkli2 ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).

No need to update dsm filter. It's a dead born container.
PProc (maybe pre processing for subtitle?) library is a rasterizer output module for subtitle (preference -> subtitle processing). Probably used for ass subtitle too. You can try switching font rendering method: Rasterizer -> Windows Standard without removing pprocdll.dll, if you need ass subtitle parsing at least.
Some Gabest filters patched by clsid can find on Guliverkli2.
Hmm, do you use it?

Not all, but some in KMPlayer - example RealMedia Splitter and sometime AVI Splitter.
And of course some other in 'system' (used other apps and Avisynth scripts).

i'm satisfied with my situation now but will recap...i discovered 'The Kmplayer' a couple months ago...i'm way a novice..i started with 1214, just so pleased because light years above the others i have which are fine but not like Kmplayer (e.g Quintessential, DivX, Winamp old version of WMP..i wouldn't have the new version)..i didn't recently get VLC and that's trippy but still no Kmplayer...i use Ares to download...just .01% of files won't render no matter which one i try...i think it's because i use 'Windows 2000 Professional' which i ain't going to get rid of...when 1430 Beta came out i got it but it started going with 'no picture fine sound'...so, instead of 1214 i now use 1428 again am i'm delighted with it and i accept the not rendering on just a couple videos...mainly, the videos i 'really' want there's no rendering problem...i'm pretty sure it's because o the '2000 Professional' thing...i so love that system though...i'm a novice and i treat this computer roughly and this os doesn't crash on me...it last years without a blip...so, i'm going to stay with it...i don't play games or anything on it...well, sorry if none of this matters to you but i posted on the other site and someone gave me a link telling me to talk to 'this guy' and i posted it on here...thanks...john

That way you've contributed greatly by showing that KMP can work with older, unsupported Windows versions. Thanks.

KMP runs fine on a W2K system.
I will check the trick with those 2 sys-files in W98.

PProcDLL.DLL = External Subtitle Module
Without this library KMP still can display SSA/ASS subtitles, but only as ordinary text.
(Ech... i'm use this for mDVD subtitles too.)
Sometime i'm use Gabest filters.
KMP can use this filters (not by default (?), just alternatively) without registering in system - it's very useful.
Gabest filters exist in Win9x versions.
BTW
Some other... i'm used latest MediaInfo library ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).
