Better sound quality when playing at faster rate

I need to listen to some video lectures. But when I play them at a 2 times faster rate, the audio quality degrades.I cant listen clearly. I checked the same file with Windows Media player 11 with 2X rate, and the sound quality there was better than KMplayer with 2X rate, so i hope this performance can be improved in my favourite player. Pls guys help me out with it.

I think you misunderstood it as the audio being very fast. No the audio is not very fast its just 2X times fast, but audio quality is not clear, thats what i m saying

What kind of video? .wmv, .avi? Could you post the Ctrl+Tab info to know the video and audio format?

Yeah Regular tone is enabled, but what I mean is sound quality is not clear. Its kinda little echoing .

It is because WMP has a native engine optimized for its own format. On the contary, WMP can't handle other formats. KMP can perform the function with every media files through KMP audio transform filter. However, the quality of processed sound is rather limited to some extent. This is one of repeated Q&A.
