why does km occupy almost 100%memory ,when it run mp3 document?

Excuse me ,I want to know the reason about it, it doesn't matter when km run a avi,wmv,etc, but when I start using it to run a mp3, it suddently occupy almost all the memory , so i cannot use the other program at the same time.
and this problem confused me recently.
