"Open with..." KMPlayer

I have downloaded the zip file of kmplayer 2.9.3. and when i extract the zip on my desktop I can rightclick at a .avi file and select open with kmplayer. But when I extract it to c/programs and then rightclicks on a .avi file I cant find the kmplayer icon, then I search for it and selects it and it wont come up in the programlist of programs i can use to open the file. I have tryed to restart my computer over and over again and still no kmplayer icon in "the open with list". I really dont want the map on my desktop :/ Anyone knows what the problem is?

If you are using Windows Vista, file associations will not work if you don't run KMP with admin rights.

"Desktop" and "Documents" are examples of folders with admin rights by default, so installing KMP to these folders will make the associations work too.

Disabling UAC is also another possibility but it's not recommended.

Install the latest version in a new folder and make the file association by following the steps in this thread:
