there's many background processes you can kill.

try with Haali's Renderer ?

try in 60Hz if the video is 30Hz, and use Reclock ?

it should get smooth at some point :D

1. Your cpu is not so powerful to play h264 video --> You can try CoreAVC or Cyberlink video decoder.

2. Check if your sound card supports 96Khz/24bit output. If not, enable Highspeed mode. Go to preferences | Audio processing | Resample/output. Then, change resample to 44.1 Khz or 48 Khz (Resample always should be ticked.) and Output format to 16 bits. Good luck. :)

but not all the file have this problem.
Check if the video files having the problem have DTS 94/26 format in common. Simply, you can try other audio decoders. How about trying internal decoder or ac3filter? I've heard from somewhere that cyberlink audio decoder could cause a jerky playback.

Finally I found out what's the problem of my kmplayer:confused:

If i play the kmv file on 525p is fine, its work smoothly, however when i playing the 720p file its not work (slow film rate).

I think its mean i can't use the hardware decoding on my ATI 2400 pro (AGP8X) display card. can anyone help to slove this problem?

kkbears, you are not using a dxva decoder from the given infomation. It's not certain that your video card supports 720p.

There is a strict condition to enable a dxva decoder of h264 contained in mkv too. Read the whole thread:
