hi there (this is my first post here)(I'm from germany, so ignore the language faults)

to make it short I really like the KMP and use it for every video file and DVD. Sometimes for audio files. (I use KMP 2.9.3.1431 beta)

I know the feature „remove missing files from playlist“. I have found the option to ignore missing files. “Play the next item after 2 seconds when failed to play” If playback comes to a missing file the next is played but if the next file is also missing playback stops or hangs. (I guess this isn't a bug, so I filed it under improvements) The player should go to the next working file. To improve comfort/usability it would be helpful for the user to decide how many (milli)seconds to wait. In addition the option “play any other item instead” (shuffle or something like that). And the option “Skip until working item is found” . And (maybe) “skip the whole folder” And “Highlight/mark missing items” If there is already a way to do what I've described I feel sorry... please tell me the solution.

Now something that isn't important for me. (Recognized in audio mode) If I open a playlist with many files (over 1500) KMP seems frozen (WinXP (32bit) SP3; 3GB RAM; AMD 64 X2 4200+) (PC not frozen) KMP starts playback after some idle time. I turned off the options “Show item numbers in playlist editor”; “Show track length...”; “Get the title (...) when added...” and “Do not load duplicates” This playlist opening freeze is not really a bug, so I filed it under improvements. If you could increase opening performance of (big) playlists I would be happier (I guess not just me). The performance improvements are regardless of the features turned on or off.

The almost freeze appears only if I open a playlist out of the explorer or if I use the KMP open-file dialog. If I open the playlist editor and add the same playlist KMP doesn't seem frozen and the playlist is loaded in milliseconds.

If it isn't possible to increase performance you can add the feature/option “Do not load missing files” That would decrease performance... I know.

Thanks for your attention. I honor your work. Keep up your great work.
