Time scheduled autoplay after KMP started

This request is not important. Just something that could increase comfort.

Autoplay after KMP started. (Not autoresume that already exists) Should be similar to the shutdown feature. KMP is already running. The user can select an relative or absolute time. 5 minutes or 13:49 for example. Maybe the user has to select which file should be played.

KMP is running. The user selects 08:30 to start playback. And at 8:30 the player starts playing the chosen file. This could be useful as wake-up alarm or just as a reminder. I don't know if it's possible, but if it is this feature should work with screen saver running, even if the workstation is locked. Just if possible.

Basing my guess on 'work against usability' this feature will not be implanted. I just ask / suggest.


Winamp doesn't have this feature. As far as I know SpiderPlayer and Coolplayer don't have this feature. I don't know any player with this function. This could be a big plus for choosing KMP.

1. One could add an "Alarm" option to KMP, i.e. one sets a date and a time, and KMP plays a video- or an audio file (e.g. a audio message created with the Audiorecorder).

2. Please also note my post

in which I suggest scheduled recording from TV card and Internet radio/TV, so you can program KMP like a video- or DVD recorder.

Look at these Winamp plugins:

Autoplay for Winamp ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
Winamp alarm ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

Both of them work with KMP (at least alarm features).

Thanks. I've tried the plugins.... and I like Autoplay.. works fine.

Integrated would be nicer... more functions available and more...
