Open file dialog customization

I haven't found any option to change where KMP starts with the open file dialog. So I suggest this. Currently KMP opens the dialog where the last played file was located. This could be felt as privacy threat for multiuser computers. Al least it is a little annoying that you have to go through many folders to get where you want.

I suggest to give the possibility to select where the dialog starts. "Remember last folder", "Start in my documents folder", "Start in workstation", "Start in folder X" (Workstation= German "Arbeitsplatz" = where all hard disk drives and CD/DVD drives are listed) (X= user defined folder)

If this option already exists I'm sorry to post this here.

When starting, KMP should do nothing just wait. "Do nothing" (default)

I wanted this option for the open file dialog every time it opens. If Ctrl + O is pressed the dialog should start where the user wants (where I want in this case)

Yes, it works now. I just needed time to understand that I had/have to close and start KMP before I press Ctrl+O. It only works if KMP is set to do nothing after startup. If KMP is playing a file and Ctrl+O is pressed the open file dialog opens where the current file is located. That's ok.

Thanks again for your help. Without you I had waited and waited. The option can remain as she is.... Move this thread to "Technical Support" please....

Try this. Right now I'm playing a file from My Documents... but ctrl+O opens the desktop.

Thanks. You are a real expert. (many of you) Time is the key. If I open a file and press within 2-3 seconds (guessed time) ctrl+O the dialog opens where the current file is located. If I press ctrl+O after that time the dialog opens where I choose it to start. KMP was already configured as you described (with your attached image) I were to impatient and pressed ctrl+O immediately after I opened a file.
