How this stuff works (if it really works :') cause as I started to using internal filters instead of ffdshow i cant manage this. In the FF I set postproc to fSPP in auto mode and it works with every codec/resolution. In internals I prefer to use the PP7 with looks pretty amazing but I have to differently set it for every codec/res cause performance control seams not working at all ;?
Maybe it's about renderer or some other settings I don't known... (Haali's renderer)

Automatic performance control may not work in post-processing filters other than mplayer's method. I'm not sure though. You can make profiles to be automatically switched depending on conditions.

In earlier FF version (mean before ffds tryout) i have the same problem. To solve this I use to used up to 4 profiles with different postproc levels and used hot keys to switch between those profiles.
Is there an option in KMP with allows to cycle between profiles using hot keys ?

Maybe not. I couldn't find one. Resolution dependent profiles would be good choice.

But not perfect ... it also would be necessary to disable PP on x264 and theora with consume more resources and in fact has their own internals PP.

You can simply disable kmp video transform filter with the fourcc of h264 and theora in preferences > video processing.
Set the condition to "disable with the following conditions".
Then tick FourCC and write the fourcc of h264/theora (h264, avc1, theo?).

Thanks for your help ;)
I think I set up this stuff just as perfect as it is possible with those settings...
I my opinion performance control working only with MPlayer PP is useless feature (with of a nowadays CPU can't hold full MPl PP)
