hi there,

I'd like to get very nice subs like this :

[Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

they are yellow with a black shadow, bold letters....simply perfect on my DLP projector(white subs create terrible rainbow effects).

the best I can come up with in KMPlayer is this :

[Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

that's with the "Microsoft Sans Serif" font in bold using Haali's Renderer in rasterized mode.

anyone's got an idea how to get very nice subs like in Kill Bill ?

GDi does too much aliasing, and resterized is too smooth(even if you disable "draw smoothly")

TIA,

is it possible to have shadows enabled on the rasterized subs, but not on the OSD messages ?! :(

ok after some fidding, I manage to get that :

[Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

but how can I add fonts in the subtitles section of KMP ?

by copying in /windows/fonts/ and restart the computer ?!

Yes, I've tried it. It worked without reboot and without restart of KMP.

I just copied some fonts into the fonts folder and KMP found them.

I've tried every possible option, whatever in GDI or Raster.

either the subs are too blurry, or they have ugly edges.

I guess some bigger sized font might be required ?

I use the Arial font, 63 size, in GDI with 3X anti-aliasing and "draw smoothly" disabled.
