 ALL-IN-ONE PLAYER, 04-21-2009, 11:24 AM
When I encountered this player way back 2007, that time, a friend of mine refer to me to use these player. Fortunately, this player can be portably installed in your pc without installing it in your system registry (I think that is version 1428, the stable one) and whoala! an instant player capable of playing anything. From simple 3GP video format from mobile phones to this Matroska format containing High Definition video format, KMPlayer surpasses all the odds to become the ultimate video player to date!!! Also, honestly, I whacked out Winamp when I learned it can play also MP3's and other music files. . Making it for me to use a single player can play anything. From that moment and until now even we have some forum regarding movies, new one or the old one, my folks telling me how to play these file things like that... And I told them to use KMPlayer as their video player. At this age of technology, where competition is stiff and OPEN SOURCE is already spreading in the cyberworld, I believe in one thing, its time for FREE. With facing a global financial crisis in this planet, and some losing their jobs, everyone is looking for something different. Right now, some wants to have free movies on their desk, FOR PERSONAL VIEWING; not for sale or rental--- this is PIRACY as I understand. BUT if you use these with utmost diligence and logic, THIS IS FREE, THIS IS OPEN SOURCE. From Kang Young-Hee and everyone in PandoraTV, keep it up!!! Thanks!!! Now quality entertainment is much exciting, with KMPlayer!!! I will just quote this message by someone, I know NOT everyone will AGREE with me because of what he has done 68 years ago. Reflect deeper and it is really happening: "If freedom is short of weapons, we must compensate with willpower" -Adolf Hitler Freedom of what you want, is what willingness to have it, go OPEN SOURCE!

 Outstanding Playback Performance !, 09-14-2008, 03:05 AM
Well, there's no much to say at this point, no single player comes close to The KMPlayer, even since I installed it I never needed to search and install an external codec and I use a lot of exotic video formats, Dolby digital sound files, DTS audio and MKV for my DVDs and never had a single problem with it !!! it's completely awesome !

I found KMPlayer on a DVD accompanying a computer magazine, and from that day I haven't and will never regret buying computer magazines. Seriously, this is my favorite piece of software.

After everytime I install Windows, or fix some other's PC, I make a habit of installing KMplayer just after finishing with the system drivers. And I adjust the settings to a particular setting, and I am proud to say that everybody accepts this setting.

It makes the Player a whole lot more beautiful, handy, useful and so less troublesome. I started using it more than a year ago, and till date, I have recommended and given the player alongwith its settings to more than a hundred friends, and they have passed on. Nowadays, it is just as omnipresent as a regular antivirus program.

I am still advertising this player to all. Now, I cant express all the wonders of this small program. Common, starting from an all-media support to vast customizing options to amazing audio-visual quality to wide portability support (you can also pass settings from one system to other, or even store your settings and load them afterwards), what's not to like about it.

Add to that, a large number of skins, thanks to lots of KMP lovers, and the player is more beautiful than anything else. Being a computer addict and an entertainment junkie, I have tried and tested, and used, all possible players, from the oldest versions of Media Player Classic to the newest crop of media players. And my verdict is The KMPlayer beats them all combined together. And with the new beta, it's promising a better and more efficient player. Way to go.

KMP, my favorite, 06-18-2008, 02:29 AM
I discovered KMP some time ago. I wasn't really searching for an media player. I needed one but I wasn't searching for one. The Windows Media Player mostly disappointed me. I had some other players before, but none as good as KMP.

I remember I used an great player on win98 that had similar features to KMP, but as I switched to XP the player was not supported by XP. Now I use KMP for my media files. It supports internet streams as well, but I don't use this often. Once a week, maybe twice. I use KMP nearly every day and like it.

I registered to the forum to find answers to a few questions and to suggest improvements.... Now I'm a moderator (of the German sub-forum). This alone should show how much I like KMP. KMP never reports that he's unable to play something like the Windows Media Player frequently does.

I recommend every one to give KMP at least a try. I did and I kept KMP.
A happy KMP addict!

 Fantastic!, 11-23-2007, 04:41 AM
I discovered KMP some time ago, and now it's my default player to music and movies. Simple to use, a lot of recurses, free of bugs: it's simply perfect! I yet translated it to Brazilian Portuguese, made a version of Pure+ skin and also translated the Winamp Library add-on.

Thanks to all the KMP developers and contributors!

The greatest player, 10-15-2007, 05:37 AM
Hi Everyone, I'm really satisfied with this player. I was in the same situations like many people who wrote here: I used a lot of player, but neither of them were enough good. Finally I found this player, and I realized that I do not need any additional codec to play different kind of movie formats. Near by this it is very clever player (knows Winamp things; 100% personalizable; you can set up everything for audio and video too), for all the set up possibility there is very good setup description. So, thanks for the player, and for the lot of support!

My Story and Opinion, 09-28-2007, 12:04 AM
Let me say, I am completely in awe of this media player. Not only does it have the gloss, glory, and glamour of any other player... It also has great codecs, great filters, and great system tray support. On top of all this, it also takes very little system resources along with an immense amount of support.

-- I have had to do many things, including using google and any search engine I could to try and find a player just to play the specific little file types. Before KMPlayer i had Quicktime, RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, Several FLV players that were for different TYPES of flv's along with other random media players like VMC and others for the codecs that others were glitching on.

After looking at a comment from someone at giveawayoftheday.com, I heard about KMPlayer. I instantly searched google for it, and downloaded it. I really expected it to suck like every other media player, in fact I was very sure of it with a generic name with Player in the name. After opening it with flv and it displaying the file without any problems I was in awe.

During watching this movie, i was playing around with the immense amount of extra tools, and color display it has. It was like every button I pressed open up a new media player all in itself with capabilities. The filters this program has exceeds Sony Vegas's support while taking 9-10k mem usage.

This versatile, beautifully designed and elegantly textured media player has tooken me by surprise and has made me able to remove all of the spyware infested, memory taking programs like Quicktime and RealPlayer.

 Definitely Awesome!, 09-08-2007, 08:53 AM
My profound thanks to the developers. The KMPlayer is the BEST! After a long and frustrating search for an alternative to all those other players, each of which has problems, I found The KMPlayer included in a review of media players on a Wikipedia, and from the review it was obviously a winner. Needs more publicity so it is better known.

way better than all the others out there, 08-20-2007, 09:40 AM
This player has all the good qualities of the players i used before. Great subtitle handling like BSPlayer, lightweight like MPC, it is configurable like Zoom Player, it plays just about anything like VLC, plus it plays incomplete files (like VLC) and that's nice for previews of files that are still in download. If it would handle streams (Windows Media and Real streams) a bit better, it would be the only player on my system (for now i use MPC for that).

The ultimate all-in-one portable player, 04-23-2007, 02:14 AM
For quite some time, I've been searching the net for a good portable media player that I can bring anywhere and still play all the anime I have in other computers (e.g. school lab) without having to install any codec packs or anything at all.

I tried mplayer with MPUI, then VLC portable. Both disappointed me. Then, one of my friend introduced me to The KMPlayer. At first glance, I really doubted it.

When I first played an anime I have, I encountered some problems, like unable to load embedded custom fonts from the video file, etc. But then, I went asking in the forum. And the solution comes within a couple of hours.

Then, I went look for more things in the forums. There, I discovered a lot of cool things I can do with The KMPlayer. Now, The KMPlayer has earned its permanent spot in my thumbdrive. It's small, fast and sleek. Now, I'm even considering to use it for my main media player in my laptop to replace my zoomplayer.
